Sling Meets & Libraries

Sling Meets are a place where you can:

  • Learn from other caregivers and share your experiences in a supportive environment

  • See demonstrations of different sling types

  • Try a range of carrier styles using your baby or demonstration dolls

  • Meet other people from your local community

  • Rent a sling from your local sling library

BWI provides Sling Meets, informal, peer-to-peer support gatherings facilitated by experienced volunteers who are passionate baby wearers themselves. Sling meets are volunteer led and we appreciate any small contributions.

Our Sling Meets feature an integrated Sling Library service, allowing you to explore and try out various carrier styles.

If you find a sling you love, you can rent it on the spot for a small fee, take it home, and try it for a full month. This service helps you ensure the perfect fit for both you and your baby before committing to a purchase.

Our extensive libraries aim to have a very diverse choice of slings:

  • Stretchy Wraps

  • Woven Wraps

  • Ring Slings

  • Meh Dais

  • Soft Structured Carriers (SSC)

Safety is paramount when carrying your baby. Please ensure you review and follow babywearing safety guidelines thoroughly before using any carrier or sling.
